Welcome to Digital Storytelling
an innovative learning and assessment strategy for vocational education and training......

  • This group is made up of community and TAFESA educators who are keen to try innovative ways to engage reluctant learners. We are creating a series of stories using Moviemaker 2 and Photostory 3 to develop learning materials and provide opportunities for learners to enjoy reflective writing and develop technology skills with an application in their everyday lives.

    We are focussing on:

    • Testing and documenting the use of digital storytelling methodologies in a range of diverse learning situations
    • Researching the potential implementations of the digital storytelling methodology as new practices for a range of practitioners
    • Actively involving the use of digital story tools to capture the learning journey of

o disadvantaged youth (16-24 year olds)

o older learners in regional or rural learning centres

o learners engaging with online or e-learning experiences for the first time
