The aim of Literacy Live is to connect and support adult literacy practitioners Australia-wide through the use of a range of eTools which will enable access to relevant, up-to-date news and professional development regardless of location or circumstance.

The eTools consist of:
1. this forum used for discussions, planning and access to resources

2. a Virtual Meeting Room for online meetings, guest speakers and events; it allows synchronous voice chat, and includes a text chat option and shared space for viewing presentation files or URLs, and
3. the new ACAL eNewsletter - to subscribe email Don MacDowall on acal@pacific.net.au
The Virtual Meeting room will also be available for use by State Councils and adult literacy teams Australia-wide. See section below.

Digital Storytelling

Many language and literacy teachers are discovering the joys of digital storytelling both personally and as a teaching/ learning methodology. MovieMaker and Photostory are good pieces of software to get started. I've posted my Digital Storytelling Guide using MovieMaker2 here. For more information on DST visit the Digital Storytelling Network also in EdNA Groups - see link below
