| | Online Mentoring NetworkThe Online Mentoring Network is a group of teachers, trainers, mentors and coaches exploring tools for and methodsof mentoring and coaching online.
Our intention is to empower mentors and coaches to work with mentorees and clients who are at a distance and cannot meet face-to-face or who are unable to attend group sessions at the same time.
We will be exploring how to work with both individuals and groups, both synchronously and asynchronously.

Online Community & SupportThis network works on the principles of "shared leadership" and "knowledge sharing" and we take the approach that "we are all teachers and all learners". We can support each other in using mentoring tools and discuss experiences and challenges.

2006 Networks ProjectEmerging out of the Online Mentoring Network will be a new network in 2006 - the Connected Learning Community (CLC). Network description: A Community of Practice (CoP) with the purpose of exploring Web 2.0 technologies in education and related learning theories, such as Connectivism and Networked Learning.
Based on peer-to-peer learning principles, the network will provide an opportunity for members to share skills and knowledge and mentor each other in new tools, practices and concepts.
The network will be built on the open web using Web 2.0 tools, modelling the process of creating networked learning communities based on personalised learning environments, thereby reflecting the underlying philosophy of learner-centred, self-organising, egalitarian networks. Preliminary planning, including
choosing a name for the network and where the main online presence will
be, involved the whole community and occurred on 2006 Network Planning Forum.
All the 'action' has now moved to the Connected Learning Community blog where you will find all the latest news about the project. Resources are kept on the Connected Learning Community wiki. For background to the project and an archived Elluminate session of the project launch and overview see the 2006 E-learning Networks Project Overview.
