Topic outline

As of 8 August 2008, the Networks Community forums are now archives and no new content will be added to this site. An email was sent out to all members via the forum "Final Posting".

For members looking for new communities of practice around specific interest areas, we suggest that they either conduct a search within edna Groups or visit the me.edu.au site (http://me.edu.au ) and search on their area of interest, then join a community there and ask about related forums and groups either within edna or on other platforms.

edublogs (http://edublogs.org ) is another excellent resource for finding people blogging about a specific area of interest. Use the tag cloud on the front page to find blog posts with those keywords and then make contact with the authors.

If you are unable to find a relevant community within edna Groups and feel you want to commit a few hours per week to running a Group, please feel free to fill out an application for a new Group. The link is accessible via the home page of the edna Groups web site – http://groups.edna.edu.au

To stay in touch with individual Group members, search on their names within the me.edu.au site and leave a message on their whiteboards.

Content not fitting these standards will be removed and the contributor notified as to why.

Contributions should:
  • make a positive contribution to education and training
  • foster constructive exchanges.
Contributions should not:
  • use obscene language
  • harass, insult or attack others
  • be defamatory
  • involve or advocate illegal activities
  • violate human rights
  • contravene copyright laws
  • display offensive and pornographic images
  • harm or disturb users
  • have depictions that condone or incite violence, particularly sexual violence
  • portray any person in a demeaning manner.

edna registration may be revoked if an individual or group fails to:

  • meet the criteria for registration with the edna service
  • uphold the edna code of practice, or
  • meet edna content standards.
