Challenges are a very popular participation tool in the blogging world.
You are participating in one now.
In the typical challenge you are set a task and go off and perform that task on your blog.
The challenge may relate to a long or short term project, such as reading a specific number of books or taking part in some other project.
What challenges have you seen running that would have educational spin-offs?

Those who are new to blogging sometimes strike "writer's block" when it comes to thinking of a topic to blog about.

Sometimes the content of your blog is driven by the purpose of your blog, and all your postings are related to that.

Part of the quandary is knowing what others would be interested in reading about.

So your challenge this fortnight is to reply to this post with a hyperlinked set of topics that you have blogged about recently. About 4 or 5 will do.

Welcome Everyone - ready for a blogging corner challenge?

The challenge to blog about for this week and the next is "Using a Blog with Students". Feel free to cover all or just some of the things listed below:

Why do you blog with your students? What are your intentions? Have your intentions changed over time?
Draw on your experiences both good and bad of student blogging. What have you done to overcome obstacles?
Point to some other blogs of note either of students blogging or about students blogging. Would you recommend any particular blogs for others to read?
Do you have any tips or tricks to share with educators just starting out or wanting to start a blog with their students?

Once you have blogged (remember to tag your post with bloggingcorner09), come back to the forum and let us know where you have posted.

Oh and don't forget to submit one of your posts to the Blogging Corner Carnival. Posts collected in February will be published on March 2nd 2009. Thanks to all those who submitted a post in January ~ We all had lots of great posts to read

Week beginning 2 Feb: So you've got a blog?

If you already have a blog, chime in here and tell us where it is. (Just reply to this thread)

Go to the wiki titled Where is Your Blog? and Edit it (you'll have to be logged in to see the edit tab) and add your name, blog title and link to the URL of your blog.
If you have several, put them all in.
Do this even if you are listed in the 2008 blogs.

Write a post on your blog (if appropriate) about Blogging Corner (feel free to use the logo if you want to) - we'd love to have some more participants.

Write a post about the Blogging Corner Carnival.
The first posting will be published today 2 Feb, on Edublogs.

Pick one of your posts to contribute to the next edition of the Blogging Corner Carnival.
You go here to submit it.

Tell us where your blog is hosted. Have you tried others? What is good/bad about where oyu have it currently "living"?
If you haven't got a blog, what help/answers do you need to get going?
